GEWO Elaxxon eFT – ECO GRIP FOR YOUR MATCH

The globally successful introduction of NEAS sponges (New Efficiency Active System), combined with the proven eTec (Eco Boost) technology, has made the GEWO Neoflexx series an absolute bestseller in the category of versatile, easy-to-play rubbers that aren’t too fast. The overwhelmingly positive feedback has inspired us to develop a new generation of rubbers that offer even higher speed and spin values without neglecting the focus on ease of play and controllability. Especially younger players or those wishing for a bit more speed and variation without sacrificing too much control will enjoy the new GEWO Elaxxon eFT variants.

Countless hours of testing and meetings resulted in a rubber composition that stands out: GEWO Elaxxon eFT!

    GEWO Elaxxon eFT 45.0

The slightly softer version of the GEWO Elaxxon eFT sponge provides a comfortable and flexible feel, ensuring you have the necessary response in every rally. The moderate speed gives you the confidence to shine both in passive and active situations. The fine tuning of the 45° hardness medium sponge with the flexible top rubber allows offensive all-rounders and ambitious young players to fully utilize their potential.

    Player type / features:

    • eGrip provides increased spin and control values without excessive susceptibility to spin
    • With the 45° hardness sponge version, even better all-round offensive options are available while maintaining the pleasant and flexible playing feel
    • Ideal for players seeking a moderate and not too hard offensive rubber that effectively supports all strokes in their repertoire

    NEAS

“eco(nomic) boost for your match” was clearly at the heart of this rubber series. The centerpiece of this generation was the perfect combination of a flexible-dynamic sponge with a grippy surface and a newly arranged pimple structure. For the harder rubbers (45° / 48° / 50°), the focus was on speed (eSpeed), without sacrificing control. For the softer rubber (40°), the focus was on spin. eGrip / eSpeed / eSpin – optimum performance in the game.

    eGrip

The new key to success with speed, spin, and fun! Benefit from reliable ball coupling, high control, and spin values in every match situation, enhancing the quality and stability of all your strokes. The new eGrip technology makes you the master of rallies!

    DGC40+ 2.0

One key factor contributing to the successful launch of GEWO rubbers was the development of the innovative DGC40+ surface technology which stands for consistent and reliable coupling at the ball contact point. In addition, thanks to its grippy surface structure it prevents the ball from “slipping”. With the introduction of the latest ball generations (e.g., GEWO Select Pro 40+ ***), further development and adjustment of the surfaces are essential. The DGC40+ “Dynamic-Grip-Concept” 2.0 was born. The surface was developed and refined specifically for the requirements of the latest ball generation. There’s no stopping now!

USE THIS GUIDE TO HELP CHOOSE THE RIGHT STIGA BAT

THE WRB SYSTEM accelerates the blade face for faster returns, more power and extra sensitivity of touch.

THE STIGA TUBE is a technology where the middle veneer with ”micro-channels” lengthways in the middle ply of the blades. The channels are then filled with different materials depending on the blade’s desired characteristics.

THE CRYSTAL TECHNOLOGY increase your speed. Normal blade treatments use regular lacquer, but Crystal Technology employs a transparent hydrophilic gel lacquer that STIGA specially developed.

THE NCT TECHNOLOGY blades use our nano technology.

THE ACS-TECHNOLOGY allows very high speed to be combined with max springiness/elasticity in an ultralight rubber with outstanding control.

 BALSA Makes the blade lighter.

HANDLE TYPES:

Everyone holds his racket in a different way.

This is not about shakehand or penhold grip but about the different way you can hold the bat. Both grips have numerous varieties which influence the feeling of the ball and have advantages and disadvantages depending on the strokes you play.

RUBBER CARE:

Inverted rubber needs regular cleaning and protection from light, particularly UV light, also humidity and extreme temperatures.

RUBBER THICKNESS:

The types and thickness of sponge are specifically designed for different types of games and their selection is an important factor. The sponge thickness ranges from O.5mm to 2.5mm. Speed and spin increases with the thickness of the sponge, but the control decreases.

Sponge thicknesses of 1.9mm – 2.5mm require increased training to maintain good control. Soft sponge enhances control and helps increase spin. 1.1 – 1.3mm for defensive (DEF) to passively all-round players (ALL-). 1.5 – 1.7mm for actively all-round players (ALL/ALL+) 1.9 – 2.1mm – max for offensive players with all variations of speed and spin (OFF-, OFF, OFF+).

RUBBER TYPES:

ANTI SPIN Pimple in rubber.

The playing surface has very little grip and is very slow with little or no elasticity in the sponge – e.g. Toni Hold (Austria) this is used as a combination rubber with a disruptive effect when playing away from the table and is less effective when blocking or counter hitting. The classic anti spin characteristics are little or no sponge, elasticity, energy absorbent sponge producing minimum amount of spin. However such as Stiga Energy Absorber have faster sponges causing problems to opponents

MEDIUM PIMPLE

Pimples 1 .2mm – 1 .6mm long. Less of a threat and not so training intensive as long pimples. The disruptive effect is relatively small. Gives good control with a low trajectory return, but with minimum spin.

LONG PIMPLES

These are suitable for defensive and allround players. The long pimples are between 1.6mm and 1.8mm. in length and can be with or without sponge. The thin flexible pimples are the most effective, but are inclined to break off if they are not played face on! The pimples will give unpredictable playing qualities. These will be dependent to a great extent upon the amount of spin and speed on the ball received and also on the angle of the bat when playing the ball. The effect will produce an unpredictable return with irregular flight paths making it difficult for the attacking opponent. This type of rubber needs a great deal of training time if you wish to be successful and obtain maximum effect. Long pimples are ideal for combination bat players who will have a grippy pimple-in rubber on one side of the bat and long pimple-out on the other – introducing a guessing game for the opponent.

PIMPLES OUT

Short pimples approx 1.0mm long give a very direct ball rebound with a short ball contact time producing a minimal amount of spin. This is an ideal rubber for players who block and counter hit. It is also good for controlling the opponent’s spin. This rubber is frequently used on the backhand side of the bat.

PIMPLES NO SPONGE

Short (approx. 1 .0mm long) pimple out – without sponge. The playing characteristics are a passive rubber – with very good ball control but low speed and spin possible making it difficult to give variation in stroke play. PIMPLES IN Is the most versatile rubber giving the largest variation in speed and spin – from the high grippy and speed reduction of the defensive rubber to the high elasticity, spin dynamic offensive rubber covering the whole spectrum in modern table tennis. The characteristics for the pimples in rubber are achieved through various rubber mixtures -e.g. different Indian rubber types and processing – i.e. varying temperatures, supplementary materials etc, making pimples in rubber the most effective available.
