Description
Table Tennis Rubber: Stiga Hybrid M Rubber
H-Touch Tensor technology provides a unique rubber with a sponge hardness of 47.5 degrees
– DNA Hybrid M = Medium – A perfect balance between control and speed
– The table tennis rubber has a semi-sticky surface for maximum rotation
– Optimised surface grip for increased spin capacity and a longer ball trajectory
– Power Sponge Cells deliver maximum catapult effect and optimal power
– Developed in collaboration with top Chinese, Japanese and Swedish players
– Made in Germany, designed in Sweden
The rubber is designed and optimised for table tennis players with an all-round/offensive playing style, who have high demands and expect the highest quality materials.
The medium-hard sponge of DNA Hybrid M is designed for players looking for the perfect balance between control and speed. It lets the player win duels more easily with a third ball attack or play it safe with a lot of spin. DNA Hybrid M is optimised for the ABS ball, and the rubber’s unique semi-sticky surface lets the player generate maximum ball rotation more easily during challenging situations. The rubber finish provides superior grip and spin, adding a brilliantly high level of control from the opening to counter loops. This lets players score points from really tough angles without sacrificing any speed. STIGA’s PSC (Power Sponge Cells) technology in combination with the H-Touch Tensor technology generates a longer ball trajectory and a more aggressive arc during loop play. The sponge pores uniquely enhance the contact between the rubber and the blade, giving each stroke a satisfyingly crisp sound.

Advice service
If you would like to discuss the effect and performance of any specific blade or rubber you can rely on our judgement and advice. You can also be confident that whatever we recommend represents the best. We are only at the other end of the telephone.
Rubber care
Inverted rubber needs regular cleaning and protection from light, particularly UV light, also humidity and extreme temperatures.
Thickness
The types and thickness of sponge are specifically designed for different types of games and their selection is an important factor. The sponge thickness ranges from O.5mm to 2.5mm. Speed and spin increases with the thickness of the sponge, but the control decreases.
Sponge thicknesses of 1.9mm – 2.5mm require increased training to maintain good control. Soft sponge enhances control and helps increase spin. 1.1 – 1.3mm for defensive (DEF) to passively all-round players (ALL-). 1.5 – 1.7mm for actively all-round players (ALL/ALL+) 1.9 – 2.1mm – max for offensive players with all variations of speed and spin (OFF-, OFF, OFF+).
Speed Glue
The effect of speed glue is to increase both spin and speed without losing too much control. When using glue it is important to use a blade sealant (varnish) to protect it from splintering and prevent the glue seeping into the blade. The glue is applied to both blade and sponge before play, with at least two coats on the sponge, more coats can be applied, but this is an individual choice. The more coats applied, the higher the performance. The effect of the glue is to expand the sponge increasing its elasticity but reducing control.
