Table Tennis Rubber: GEWO Iconixx Hybrid HXT Pro 48.0

GEWO Iconixx Hybrid HXT rubber series – Maximum rotation. Maximum control. Maximum dominance.

With the GEWO Iconixx Hybrid HXT, GEWO takes hybrid technology to a completely new level. This rubber has been developed for uncompromising offensive play in modern table tennis – with a clear focus on spin quality, stability at high speeds and precise ball feedback. The Iconixx Hybrid HXT is not an ordinary hybrid rubber. It is the result of intensive development work with the aim of combining the advantages of Chinese tacky surfaces with the dynamics and elasticity of European high-performance sponges – without their respective disadvantages. Developed for the highest demands, this high-performance rubber combines innovative material technology with maximum control – for a level of spin and power that is second to none.

Playing characteristics in detail

• • Serve & receive: Maximum spin variation, short placement and high quality in spin changes. The ball can be controlled with great precision.

• • Opening topspin: High arc, enormous rotation and excellent safety against backspin. Ideal for spin-oriented offensive players.

• • Topspin to topspin (counter-topspin): Outstanding stability and grip. The rubber grips securely even at high speed and enables aggressive counter-rotation.

• • Block & counter: Precise, controlled and stable. The ball bounce remains predictable, even against powerful attacking shots.

• • Smash & finishing shot: Direct power transfer with explosive acceleration – especially in the harder versions.

Four sponge hardness levels – perfectly matched for all offensive strategies

The GEWO Iconixx Hybrid HXT is available in four versions to offer optimal performance for every playing style:

• • Iconixx Hybrid HXT 45 – More catapult, more feel, ideal for spin-oriented offensive players with a focus on rotation and control.

• • Iconixx Hybrid HXT 48 – The perfect balance of dynamics, spin and stability.

• • Iconixx Hybrid HXT 50 – Direct, powerful and precise for ambitious attacking players.

• • Iconixx Hybrid HXT 55 – Maximum stability and power for uncompromising counter-topspins and finishing shots at the highest level.

Your advantage at the table. The GEWO Iconixx Hybrid HXT offers:

• Outstanding ball contact and grip
• Extreme spin generation
• High stability in counter-topspin play
• Explosive finishing power
• Precise control in the short game

GEWO Iconixx Hybrid HXT Pro 48 – Balanced power, maximum spin.

The medium-hard version delivers power, control and spin, even in extreme playing situations. The optimal ball contact and the sharp trajectories put every opponent under pressure. Even when under pressure or when hitting the ball late, high-quality shots can still be produced with the Iconixx Hybrid HXT 48. The advanced surface structure allows longer ball contact and optimal grip. The result is highly spin-loaded shots with high speed when required, without losing control. Give your topspins and counter-topspins the quality needed to reach the next level!

Player type / characteristics:

• 48° medium-hard power sponge for offensive topspin play
• Balanced offensive play with high rotation
• For offensive players with a focus on spin-rich topspins and counter-topspins

Technology of the Iconixx Hybrid HXT series

HXT-Tack Surface – Precision & Spin – noticeably more ball contact

The newly developed HXT Tack Surface ensures exceptional grip and extended contact time. The slightly tacky topsheet grips the ball intensely, enabling extreme spin values on serve and opening play, safe counter-topspins with a high arc and a stable ball trajectory even at high speed, allowing the ball to be actively guided and placed. Especially on the first topspin against backspin, the HXT Tack Surface shows its full strength: the ball is lifted cleanly, penetrates deeply into the topsheet and generates a high, spin-rich trajectory with great safety. At the same time, the playing feel remains clear and precise – no spongy feedback, but direct and controllable response.

PowerCell Core (PCC) – Precision & Spin – explosive catapult effect in topspin, maximum rebound for aggressive attacks

Effect for players: Higher speed, strong offensive power, ideal for topspin-oriented players. At the centre of the rubber is the new Power-Cell-Core sponge. Its optimised cell structure efficiently stores the energy generated during ball contact and releases it at the right moment. In practice, this means:

• powerful finishing shots with high penetration
• dynamic acceleration from mid-distance
• consistent performance even at high stroke frequency
• stable counter-rotation during fast rallies

The strength of the sponge is particularly evident in counter-topspin play: the ball penetrates deeply, is securely held and catapulted back with enormous energy – without loss of control. This enables powerful, aggressive counter-topspins even against heavy incoming spin.

FlexTech 3.0 – Precision in every playing situation.

The additional FlexTech 3.0 technology ensures the perfect interaction between topsheet and sponge. The flexibility at impact increases spin sensitivity and supports optimal ball rotation, while internal stability ensures precise, linear playing behaviour. The result:

• excellent control in the short-short game
• precise placement when blocking and countering
• high safety in passive strokes
• clearly defined ball bounce without surprises

Especially in modern high-speed play, the Iconixx Hybrid HXT offers a rare combination of aggressiveness and control.
